School Principal

I am an accomplished educator with 23 years of dedicated service in education.  A product of Richland School District One and proud graduate of Lower Richland High School, I have devoted my career to fostering student growth, academic achievement, and career readiness within the district.

I have served as an assistant principal in Richland School District One for 13 years, including the last eight years at Heyward Career and Technology Center.  During that time, I played a key role in strengthening educational programs, supporting students’ career development, and building partnerships that enhanced opportunities for student success.

Now, serving in my first year as principal of Heyward Career and Technology Center, I am committed to continuing the school’s tradition of excellence, while cultivating strong relationships with students, families, staff, business partners, and the community.  My leadership focuses on preparing students with the skills, knowledge, and experiences necessary to thrive in college, careers, and life.

Passionate about innovation in education, I actively pursue professional learning opportunities that enhance my leadership and support continuous improvement.  I believe in creating a culture of excellence, collaboration, and student-centered learning.

Outside of my professional responsibilities, I enjoys spending time with my family and traveling.  I remain deeply committed to making a positive impact in the lives of students and their families throughout Richland School District One.
